Horsell’s Farm Enterprises

Roger and Sophie Scruton started Horsell’s Farm Enterprises in 1999 when we acquired the land behind our house and neighbouring Horsell’s Farm and were able to restore the land parcel of ancient grassland at Sunday Hill Farm.

Our aim was to enhance the ancient field patterns by replanting hedges, restoring ponds and growing trees to encourage wildlife.  We decided to pay for this project by turning grass - our only raw material - into ideas, our only possible product. And the ideas could be sold in the form of books, articles, seminars, websites and conferences. So began our rural-based consultancy in which the return goes back into the land, so renewing the grass from the ideas.

We’ve been going nearly ten years now  and have enjoyed offering a range of services from log-cutting to logic chopping.
